Why are they mixing these 2 types of populations? Because It brings something great:

The energy of entrepreneurs helps freelancers and the creativity of their freelancers helps entrepreneurs build better projects.

Remix is focused on helping to create links and confidence within their community. They have unique expertise and an incredible team of super-connectors that takes charge of the community management and more than 250 events a year.

They are currently based in Paris and own 4 spaces. Their community is 300 resident coworkers and will be up to 1000 in Paris, France in the next 8 months and 5000 by 2019.

To make it simple, Remix Coworking is a community where their coworkers can explore new ways of working and create new ways of succeeding.

What are the best things about coworking compared to a traditional office space?

Community, sharing, well-being.

Do you host events for your community?

More than 300 a year.

What were the earliest indications that this business could be successful?

No business indicators. Just human ones. We gather all the incredible people that are brilliant and have so much to share but don’t feel at ease anywhere else than at Remix Coworking.

What is your favorite coworking space you have been to in a different city?

In the US, we love Indy Hall in Philadelphia, The Foundery in Toronto. In Europe, Studio LX in Lisboa. But there are so much more incredible communities all around!

What is working best for your marketing right now?

Make people feel good is the only secret.

What is your biggest differentiator compared to other coworking spaces?

We don’t necessarily think in terms of marketing and differentiation. We build a community with incredible people inside and we try to do it the best we can. We have a very human approach where maybe many coworking companies have a more "flexible space" approach.

What is the toughest decision you've had to make in the last few months?

We have tough decisions to make each day. One of the toughest was to tell a coworker she could not stay anymore at Remix.

If it was possible, what advice would you give yourself 10 years ago?

Hey dude, life is great. Be patient, work and learn as much as you can.

How did you meet your co-founders or business partners?

We were friends. It's been more than 10 years we've been working together now (we were associated as strategic planners previously to Remix Coworking). She's my best friend and the best business partner I could dream of.

Anthony Gutman of Remix Coworking

What are some of the best things about your coworking community?

Our community is like a family. Everyone helps and care about each other. We have original and smart personalities, due to our selection process. We are nearly 300 now!

What book are you most likely to give as a gift?

Le Petit Prince - Saint Exupéry.

What is your favorite small business in your neighborhood?

We have lots of vegetarian restaurants near one of our coworking spaces (Remix Coworking - 24 Cour des Petites Ecuries - 75010 Paris). We love them.

What is your favorite app or online tool?

Not an original choice but Google Drive remains the most useful.

What advice do you have for new business owners?

It is chaos out there. So it is time to do what you like and how you feel. But work and don't stop till you reach your dream.
