Coworking Member Feature: Elizabeth Burstein of Neura Health

If you’ve been reading our blogs lately, we’re sure you’ll have noticed that we’ve been featuring a lot of interesting startups. We here at The Farm SoHo believe in the importance of placing the spotlight on businesses of different sizes and we’re determined to keep going.

Some of these startup companies have enjoyed the use of The Farm’s coworking and private offices and we’re proud to have them as part of our dynamic community. For this week’s coworking member feature, let’s all welcome Elizabeth Burstein, CEO and co-founder of Neura Health:

Q1. What is your line of business?

Neura Health is a new venture-backed startup with a mission to improve access and quality of care for neurologic conditions. Our longer-term vision is to find cures by learning from the experience of every neurology patient. We were inspired to create Neura because of two key problems in neurology: access and quality. Access is subpar because there are not enough neurologists in the country, so the average wait time is 35 days, with patients often having to travel hours to access the right specialist. Quality is subpar because diagnoses are currently based on self-reported data with significant recency bias.

This past January, Neura raised $2m in seed funding from top investors including Next Play Ventures (the fund of former LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner), Index Ventures (Figma, Robinhood), and Norwest Venture Partners (Calm, Talkspace).

Q2. What is your professional background?

Product leadership.

Q3. Tell us about your business/professional goals

Improve access and quality of care for neurological conditions, starting with chronic headaches and migraines.

Q4. What apps or tools do you use the most in your business/profession?

Google Suite incl. Firebase, Slack, and Elation EMR.

Q5. What do you love to do during your free time?

Running and fitness.

Q6. What’s the most meaningful advice you’ve ever received in life?

Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

Q7. When and why did you opt for a coworking space at The Farm SoHo?

In-person collaboration with my business partner during the height of COVID-19.

Q8. Has your work-life balance improved since you started using coworking spaces? How so?

Yes, I love having separation of work and personal, the space helps with that.

Thank you, Liz, for agreeing to do this with us! For those suffering from headaches and who are interested in trying out their app, visit neurahealth.co and hit 'Get Started'. The app is only $1 for the first week and $28/month after that.
