There are filters, music, transitions, and template settings available to play with and make your content more visually appealing. You may or may not have the flexibility to utilize all the available features, depending on the demographics of your target audience. 

Establish A Connection

If you want to reach professional chefs with your content, share videos and messages that establish a connection to their world. A video featuring all the ways a diner complains about their perfectly delicious meal or funny stories of weird things people have requested to eat would connect with your audience.

First, In-Feed ads are the DIY option and will likely be the most affordable route. In-feed ads can be made with videos, images, or what TikTok calls “Spark Ads.” 

Spark Ads is a paid way to boost the content you’ve already posted. If you have a video that’s getting good engagement rates, you can run a Spark Ad to reach even more viewers. 

For example, if you created a video last month about the proper technique of yielding to emergency vehicles or CDL test tips, and it’s still performing well, create a spark ad to boost this content and reach a wider audience. 

Managed Brand Ads

Next, managed brand ads look similar to in-feed ads. However, these are only available to you if you’re working directly with a TikTok sales team member. 

The features available to brand ads offer more control and may be worth the extra expense, if possible. Managed brand ads can be unskippable, take up the full screen, or TopView ads which are seen first, as the user logs in.
