Several virtual events originating from the city are helping attendees to learn entrepreneurial prowess and public speaking skills, among others. On top of that, those who may have ended up losing their jobs because of the pandemic may also attend a virtual job fair specifically made for them.

1. How to Start a Financial Literacy Business (August 2, Monday)

Happening every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, How to Start a Financial Literacy Business is an online webinar designed to help people learn how to establish their own financial literacy business “within weeks”.

This workshop promises to explain why this type of business is a “fantastic opportunity” today and how you can find clients in no time.

4. ProjectCovid Virtual Job Fair / Career Expo (August 6, Friday)

Another online event, JobsOffice.org’s ProjectCovid Virtual Job Fair / Career Expo is being touted as the “world's largest attended career fair with around 170,000 professionals and 7,000 recruiting companies.”

Held every first Friday of the month, this event is aiming to help workers from different industries who have been impacted by the pandemic.

To join, go create a ProjectCovid account and then log on to the site’s Job Fair page to register. You will soon be contacted about any possible matches based on your data, so be sure to complete your online profile.

5. Conquer Your Fear of Public Speaking (August 7, Saturday)

A free trial class for entrepreneurs and professionals hoping to conquer stage fright, K. Smith’s Conquer Your Fear of Public Speaking gives you the much-needed boost so you can feel more comfortable during your speaking assignments.

This will be held virtually on Saturday, August 6 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and then on multiple dates thereafter. If you enjoy the free class, you might want to sign up for the paid 10-session program.
