Starting off our list is Adare Manor. This five-star hotel and resort boasts an 840-acre castle with a 240-acre golf course. Furthermore, the history of this charming architectural masterpiece can be traced back to the 17th century.

Located along the banks of River Maigue, the Manor was built to provide shelter to the 2nd Earl of Dunvren and his family.

It wasn’t until the mid-1800s that Lady Caroline Wyndham (the 2nd Earl of Dunvren’s wife) suggested remodeling the house into a ‘calendar house’.

Eventually, the house was designed to mimic some of the more prominent cathedrals and castles in Europe.

Once you get a chance to visit Adare Manor, you’ll notice that many features of the estate’s original design have been well preserved.
